This Is Why You Should Believe in Your Dreams

We all have heard it countless times, "Believe in yourself!", "Believe in your dreams!". Why and how is another matter all together. So today I thought instead of telling you to believe in yourself and your dreams maybe I should tell you why and how to do that. Because let's face it, when you are down and feel like you want to give up. Even if somebody was to say to you, "Believe in yourself" or "Believe in your dreams", you wouldn't know exactly how to start and worse how to go about it exactly.

Decoding the why and how to believe in your dreams is going to be helpful to you so that you know how to harness the power within you to believe. With such power you will become unstoppable and never allow obstacles to distract you from pursuing your goals.

The "why" is simple, if you do not believe in something your effort and energy towards it reflect that. If I told you to fly to the moon you wouldn't even try unless you have Elon Musk next to you and a couple of astronauts, why? because it seems unattainable you wouldn't believe it can be done. However, if I told you to run a 10km marathon, you would be more likely to act on it because it seems attainable. When we believe something can be achieved, our conscious and subconscious mind work better and influence us to take actions that make it possible to achieve our goals.

All things needed to succeed are born from believing in the possibility of your dream coming to life. Energy, hard work, resilience, failing and trying without giving up are all a product of believing in your dream. In the absence of the belief in your dreams the actions needed to succeed in your goal are impossible to take.

How to believe in your dream is simple but will require you to live more intentionally. Belief and confidence are all like muscle, you train the muscle by starting with the easier weight. We all have things that we have done that we never thought were possible before, maybe this is finding true love, or starting a career or a business. List all things that you thought were not possible before but you happened to achieve in your life. From that you should begin to see that anything you put your mind and energy into is actually possible to achieve.

Habits That Lower Confidence

"Self-confidence is a super power. Once you start to believe in yourself, magic starts happening."

One must remember this quote whenever they find themselves in a situation that feels tougher than ever. The only person who can ever get you out of it is you and your belief in yourself.

Confidence is important in today's world more than ever because the competition is on an all-time high and the only person who is going to stand by you and get you through it is you.

However, what are some habits that keep you from being the best version of yourself? We all read enough about how to build confidence and how to motivate others. But, what are some traits that keep you from achieving your best potential?

Let's find out.

1. Constant comparison with others: Nobody's journey is the same as yours and not everyone has the same personal or professional goals like you. Your only real parameter of growth is how far have you come at a personal level. As long as you strive to be a better and more aware version of yourself every day, you are on the right track.

2. Taking failure to heart: If success was to come easy, it wouldn't feel like a victory. If everything was to be served on a platter, you wouldn't enjoy it, not every minute would feel like something you should cherish. Failures are important and they tell you that your life is yet to bring you the best of experiences and achievements. You can wake up every day wanting more opportunities to learn and challenges to face. Learn from your failures and do better.

3. Surrounding yourself with superficial people: Keeping your circle small is okay. It's okay to keep to yourself and not have someone to go for Saturday night parties with. It's okay to not have every colleague invite you to all sorts of galas because not everyone in each room will want the best for you. Instead of surrounding yourself with people who will fill you up with negative vibrations and a sense of self-doubt, surround yourself with people who do not wish to compete with you or demotivate you. These are the people who will be cheering for you from the front row seat, showing off your every move and telling you how proud they are of you.

4. Pitying yourself: Self-pity is one of the worst things you can put yourself through. Yes, people have it better and yes, some people have it worse. But your journey is different and no, bad things do not happen only to you. Create your reality and learn to believe in yourself. Make the best of every opportunity and if it doesn't work out, do not live the rest of your life doubting your every move. Instead, figure out what you could've done better and experiment more. Nothing lasts forever so you mustn't continue feeling like the hardships will never end for you.

5. Constantly overthinking: Stop convincing yourself that your work is subpar and stop creating unreal scenarios in your head. You will not get fired for printing the wrong sheet or highlighting the word wrong. Even if you have messed up on a larger scale, a good mentor will always tell you it's alright and tell you what you could have done better. What's the worst that'll happen? You'll get fired. It's a tough world but it's also one with booming opportunities. You might not end up doing what you love immediately but with the right mindset and ambition, everything is achievable. That is all you need to convince your mind of. Everything else can be dealt with.

So now, put on that suit you bought and remind yourself that you are ready to take over the world. Quit the practices that make you feel less confident and take away the belief that you need to have in yourself. Communication Skills

The Importance Of Having A Vision In Life

There is nothing easier in life than just blindly following the crowd and not having to worry about whether the path you are on is right or wrong as it is already tested so many times by people before you that you can be almost sure that you will definitely achieve at least something if you stay on it. However, having your own vision which is unrelated to what others are doing has its own perks.

First of all, a vision gives you a purpose and makes all your efforts seem worthwhile to you because you are aware where exactly you are going with all that you are doing. Otherwise, you might be putting in a lot of effort but you will never realize how far you have come and how far you still have to go. That will eventually make you lose interest in your endeavor and at some point, you might give up. But when you have a definite vision, you seldom lose motivation. You always have a direction to move forward and a standard to measure your progress.

Secondly, when you have a vision, you try to find your own solutions whenever you are stuck somewhere. It makes you wiser every time and affects your personality in a very positive way. Your level of maturity rises and sense of responsibility improves. If you do not have a vision, you will seldom find the courage and urge to try and overcome your problems. You will see yourself blaming luck or other such factors most of the times because that is simply not what you really want to do.

Last but not the least, your vision makes you who you are and decides what you deserve in life. It gives you courage to not settle for less. When you know your true worth, you realize what you are capable of and where you truly belong. On the other hand, you miss a number of opportunities when you do not have a vision because you might just be following those who are not even half as talented as you. You can only imagine where your life might end up.

You live only once and this is your one and only chance to do what you really want to do. You can live in fear and continue to lead a life of mediocrity or you can learn to let go of secure paths and choose the kind of life you were born to live. The choice is yours!
